The Blessing of the Fleet is an annual event in Morro
Bay. The Blessing starts on the North T pier with a remembrance of those
lost as sea. The Blessing then moves through the harbor, bestowing
flowers and good wishes on the families and boats of the fishing fleet.
The Morro Bay Commercial Fishermen's Organization then hosts a community
potluck Bar-B-Que at the Veterans Hall in the afternoon.
